Charles G. McKeag, Vice President, Northern California, TNHC Land. Charles has extensive experience in land acquisition – both with infill locations in mature communities as well with as large parcels suited for masterplanned developments. This background serves him well for sourcing, acquiring and managing development opportunities for The New Home Company. Before joining The New Home Company, Charles was principal of Paragon Development Services, a California-based, full-service real estate acquisition and development firm. There he honed his skills evaluating and acquiring land assets. Prior to Paragon, Charles was the Vice President of Acquisition & Development at SCS Development Company, one of the largest privately held development and home-building companies in the San Francisco Bay area. Charles is also a recognized expert in the negotiation and implementation of complex real estate transactions and development projects involving significant regulatory oversight. He frequently presents at development and planning conferences on topics ranging from land-use and entitlement policy to redevelopment finance and acquisition strategy. Charles holds a law degree from University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Building Industry of the Bay Area and on the Urban Infill Council of the California Building Industry Association.
