ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (May 29, 2013) – The New Home Company (NEW HOME) of Aliso Viejo, Calif. has announced the promotion of several key executives as the company expands its homebuilding and land purchasing throughout California.

John Sherwood, Patrick Dibble and Megan Eltringham have all assumed increased responsibilities in their respective disciplines. All three executives have been with NEW HOME since the company began operations in 2009. NEW HOME also announced that Stephen Jordan, vice president of TNHC Land, its land acquisition division, has taken over project management duties at Meridian, a new community of 79 luxury residences in Newport Beach, Calif., and that veteran land acquisition specialist Douglas Woodward has joined its team as vice president of land.

John Sherwood, Vice President of Project Management In his new role as vice president of project management, Sherwood currently oversees a portfolio of more than 740 units in planning and development in Southern California, totaling approximately $700 million in revenue for NEW HOME. Sherwood ensures that the goals and objectives of each project are translated into design documents, schedules and budgets. He works with public agencies and utility companies to coordinate NEW HOME’s entitlement and construction permit process in Southern California with public agencies and utility companies, while also managing and contracting all engineering, infrastructure planning, landscape and amenity packages, and architectural design efforts. Sherwood works closely with the marketing, purchasing, finance and construction departments from inception of a new community through project implementation, including representing NEW HOME on each community’s homeowner’s association until it is turned over to the residents. Sherwood has more than 25 years of experience in land planning and new-home construction, working in both the private and public sectors.

Patrick Dibble, Vice President of Operations Recently appointed as vice president of operations, Dibble has more than 30 years of experience in the homebuilding industry. He joined NEW HOME when the company formed in 2009 as director of construction. As vice president of operations, Dibble manages all on-site operations for NEW HOME communities developed in Southern California, a process that begins upon closing of land acquisitions. This includes overseeing the plan development for each new-home community, hiring all of the trade professionals and managing all on-site construction and operations. Prior to joining NEW HOME, Dibble spent six years as the director of construction for Laing Luxury, a division of John Laing Homes, where he oversaw field operations and purchasing for the construction of multi-million dollar homes in Southern California. Dibble began his homebuilding career with Capital Pacific Homes, where over a 20-year period he worked his way up to construction manager.

Megan Eltringham, Marketing Director Eltringham has been promoted to NEW HOME marketing director. Previously, she had been serving as the manager of marketing and special projects. In her new position, Eltringham now oversees marketing activities throughout the company, corporate branding, neighborhood/community marketing and technology solutions for NEW HOME’s website, social media and sales tools. An original member of the NEW HOME team, Eltringham has taken on several leadership roles in the homebuilding industry. She serves as co-chair of the BIA/Orange County Next-Gen Committee and is treasurer of the BIA/Southern California Greater Sales and Marketing Council board of directors. She was honored at the 2012 Southern California MAME Awards as recipient of the Rising Star Award which recognizes new leaders in the industry.

Stephen Jordan, Vice President of TNHC Land and Meridian Project Manager At Meridian, Jordan has taken over responsibility for project management activities while continuing to serve as vice president of TNHC Land. Jordan has been involved with Meridian for many years, overseeing predevelopment planning and strategy during the project’s acquisition phase. As vice president of TNHC Land, Jordan will maintain his focus on sourcing and controlling new land opportunities, conducting land feasibility and underwriting and directing the NEW HOME’s planning and entitlement efforts. Construction is now underway on Meridian, the first, new for-sale residential project in the Newport Center® area next to Fashion Island® in more than 20 years. Sales at Meridian are expected to begin in late 2013, with a grand opening anticipated for June of 2014.

Douglas Woodward, Vice President of TNHC Land (New Hire) NEW HOME has announced the appointment of Woodward as vice president of TNHC Land. TNHC Land was formed in 2012 to secure, plan, entitle and add value to land purchased on behalf of NEW HOME. In addition, TNHC Land conducts land feasibility and underwriting. Woodward is a senior executive with more than 20 years of development and homebuilding experience in both public and private companies.
