The New Home Company Earns Multiple Honors at California’s Homebuilding Awards Shows

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (September 28, 2015) – In the two awards shows honoring the California homebuilding industry’s best in design, marketing and professional achievement, The New Home Company (NEW HOME, NYSE: NWHM) earned top honors at last weekend’s Northern California MAME Awards and the SoCal Awards.

The 2015 MAME Awards, presented by the North State Building Industry Association, were held on Friday, September 25, 2015. NEW HOME received top recognition in a variety of categories, including “Community of the Year” for Chaparral at Blackstone in El Dorado Hills, Calif. Additional MAME Awards presented to NEW HOME and its design partners include:

• Best Interior Design: Chaparral, Plan 2 (WithIn Design)
• Best Architectural Design: Chaparral, Plan 2 (JZMK Partners)

NEW HOME’s success at the MAME Awards carried over to the following evening at the 2015 SoCal Awards, presented by the Greater Sales & Marketing Council and the BIA of Southern California. NEW HOME won multiple awards, including “Community of the Year” for Fiano, a successful neighborhood of luxury residences on the Newport Coast in Orange County, Calif.

One of the annual highlights of the SoCal Awards is the presentation of the Max C. Tipton Memorial Award, which for more than 40 years has recognized the most influential thought leaders in the Southern California homebuilding industry for marketing excellence. This year, the Max C. Tipton Award was presented to NEW HOME Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Design, Joan Marcus-Colvin, who was joined on stage by past recipients, including NEW HOME Chief Executive Officer and Founding Partner, Larry Webb.

“To be included on the same list as the past winners of the Max C. Tipton Award is one of the greatest honors of my career,” said Marcus-Colvin. “This has been a special year for our company. We’re on track to open a total of 20 new communities throughout California in 2015, so to have our hard work recognized with so many MAME and SoCal Awards is a validation of what we strive to do each and every day: To create homes that allow our customers to build better lives.”
